2006 RESULTS
Background
The Darien Road Race began in 1979.
The race route is along scenic waterfront roads and includes two events: 10K and "The
Loop".
350 runners turn out each year along with hundreds of family and other spectators.
Race Winners
Awards will be made to men and women for the fastest finish times.
- 10K (6.2 Miles wheel measured)
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Overall
- Prizes for kids under 12
- Sterling Glen Award to the Oldest and Youngest Finishers
- The Loop is a 1.5 Mile Family Fun Run
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Overall

Directions
I-95 Exit 10 south to US-1 (Post Road). East (left) onto US-1 one block. South (right) onto Ring's End Road, go over bridge, turn right onto Pear Tree Point Road. Stay right at fork, continue 1/2 mile to Pear Tree Point Beach.
NOTE - PARKING IS LIMITED!
Parking is limited! Please car pool. Access to beach and road will be closed at 12:30 or as soon as lot is full!
Check-In and Registration
Check-in on race day at Pear Tree Point 11:00-12:30pm. Pre-entrants pick up race packet and number at check-in. Post entrants fee $30.00. Registration closes promptly at 12:30pm. Allow adequate time.
